Who loves a New York City girl? WE DO!!! Daniel and I had the MOST fun with Denise on her wedding day at LaPlaya. From the first contact I knew that this was going to be some fun, and then some :). Denise called me about 9 months before her wedding while she was staying at LaPlaya and said that she wanted to chat with me – I, of course, love a good chat so we figured out a good time to meet after work at LaPlaya. After about 10 minutes of talking and some brief show and tell with our wedding books we knew that this was a great fit.
Getting a trial run in – on the other hand – was a bit of a struggle. It turns out that Denise has a super awesome job with Jonathan Adler Designs and is a bit of a world traveler for work. We were this close to doing her trial run while Daniel and I were in NYC over the summer doing a wedding – but she had to jet-set overseas for her job. It was ok, because she planned a relaxing trip to Naples after all of that.
Denise came into the salon for her rehearsal dinner for a blow-dry/curl and she gave us the most amazing gift! She designed (from start to finish) a candle for Jonathan Adler Designs called Champagne and let me tell you – it was AMAZING!!!! If you can get your hands on one – I HIGHLY recommend going out and getting one. The fragrance filled the entire salon, but it was not heavy – nor did it give me a headache!
Let’s talk the wedding hair – beautiful, right? Denise wanted to have a hairstyle that she could easily take down for her reception. So Daniel created a one of a kind modern updo that with taking out a few large bobby pins the hair could come cascading down. And let me tell you, it was very Denise.
All of this awesomeness was not done alone – Denise had an awesome team:
