Daniel and I were so thrilled that we met this stunning Italian girl – our Little Maria. Maria is a blast – a spitfire from Staten Island that knows what she wants and is not afraid to ask for it. We fell in love with her the first moment we met her from her “uz guys” and everything she loved was “sick” and her love for her adorable dog – that was also in the bridal part by the way – it was perfect and very Maria.
We chose to wear her hair up for her wedding so that it created an area for her headpiece and so that it would be maintenance free for the entire evening. We kept the makeup very simple for her wedding – clean skin, soft lip with a touch of pink, darkness only on the lash line – this keeps it looking innocent and not overly done.
Maria’s wedding was decked out – she had a sand castle, butterflies, tents and a beautiful sunset all captured by the boys at New Ground Photography – photos from her intimate ceremony below:
The next day was her “Trash the Dress” shoot with the boys from New Ground Photography. Check out these photos – amazing, right? We love how Maria had a different dress for this shoot – something a bit more sexy but still just as stunning.
We had Maria wear her hair down for this one and she has some long hair – perfect for beachy waves. Her makeup was smoldering and sext – a HUGE smokey eye and she wanted to look TAN. So we did it – bronzers, coral blushes, and lots of smudgy black liner and shadows and she looked like a Victoria’s Secret Model.
Daniel and I were also thrilled to be a part of her party on Staten Island over the summer. I had never been to Staten Island before and I was surprised to see how it kind of felt rural in some areas. Daniel told me that people call Staten Island the “forgotten borough” and I can kind of see why. However, I loved it. Staten Island has an AMAZING view of Manhattan and if you want to get off the island, there is the Staten Island Ferry (that is free by the way) that runs all day and all night.
It was great to see all of Maria’s friends and family – you could really feel all of the love in the room. Thank you our Little Maria for letting us have a glimpse into your life and letting Daniel and I be a part of your wedding, Trash the Dress, and celebration on Staten Island. The next time we are in the city, expect a call. 😉
